Meet the dedicated leaders guiding ASIS Space Coast.

Chapter Chair: Michelle Chase

Michelle Chace is a Security Subject Matter Expert and Forensic Expert Witness with Kolins Security Group and the owner of Mitigation Assessor, LLC. She specializes in premises liability, threat and risk assessments, security master planning, and CPTED-based evaluations, providing defensible opinions grounded in industry standards and real-world operational experience.

Her work has supported major public- and private-sector clients, including the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (World Trade Center), Caterpillar, Morgan Stanley, the Smithsonian Institution, and Amtrak. Michelle is the co-author of Fundamentals of Security Management: A Commonsense Approach and a forthcoming textbook on security management best practices.

A U.S. military veteran and former adjunct professor at Bellevue University, Michelle serves as Chair of the ASIS Space Coast Chapter and is an active member of several professional security organizations.

Chapter Secretary: Suzi Eckerstrom

Suzi Eckerstrom is a Security Manager and Facility Security Officer (FSO) at DRS Network & Imaging Systems in Melbourne, Florida. Her professional focus includes industrial security, personnel security, policy development, and team leadership within regulated and defense-related environments.

Prior to joining DRS, Suzi held security leadership roles supporting General Electric in Cincinnati, Ohio, and AAR Government Services in Rockledge, Florida, where she served as Facility Security Officer.

She holds a B.A. in Psychology and is currently enrolled in the University of Central Florida Management Development Certificate Program. An active member of NCMS, Suzi is also an enrolled NCMS mentor and welcomes mentoring requests from members of the Space Coast security community.

Joe Fenning is a veteran security professional with more than 34 years of experience spanning the private sector, federal law enforcement, and military service. Throughout his career, he has overseen highly complex and high-risk security portfolios, with expertise in counterintelligence, counterterrorism, cybersecurity, and crisis management.

His professional background includes leading cross-functional teams and building coalitions to protect corporate environments, business assets, and large-scale special events, as well as directing high-stakes crisis response efforts.

Known for his collaborative and inclusive leadership style, Joe is committed to coaching and mentoring others and has consistently built cohesive, high-performing teams across public and private organizations.

Chip Seifert is a seasoned security and compliance professional with extensive experience in industrial security, trade compliance, and risk management across defense, manufacturing, and other regulated environments. He currently serves as Trade Compliance and Facility Security Officer (FSO) for a U.S. defense contractor supporting ITAR-controlled and classified work.

A retired U.S. Army Military Police officer, Chip brings a mission-focused and operational approach to security leadership. His background includes preparing organizations for government security reviews, developing enterprise-wide training programs, and strengthening physical, personnel, and information security programs across multiple facilities.

Chip is a board-certified security professional (CPP®, PSP®), serves as the ASIS Space Coast Chapter Certification Chair, and is committed to mentoring and advancing security education.
